Theย National Federation of Independent Businessย (NFIB), Illinoisโ€™ leading small business advocacy organization, released itsย 2025-2026 small business legislative voting recordย for Illinois.

Five state senatorsย andย 23 state representativesย scored a 100% pro-small business voting record during the 2025-2026 legislative session.

โ€œInflation, uncertainty, and governmental taxes and mandates have hit many small businesses hard,โ€ย said NFIB Illinois State Director Noah Finley. โ€œMain Street businesses appreciate the efforts of their friends in the Illinois legislature who stand up for them day-in and day-out against the special interests pushing to make it harderโ€”and more expensiveโ€”to run a business in Illinois.โ€

The 2025-2026 NFIBโ€ฏVotingโ€ฏRecordโ€ฏdoes not reflect every element considered by lawmakers whenโ€ฏvoting, nor does it represent a complete profile of theย legislators. The voting record includes keyโ€ฏvotes on many issues important to small businesses, but does not factor in their committee votes or other behind-the-scenes legislative support of Main Street businesses.
