Theย National Federation of Independent Businessย (NFIB), Illinoisโ leading small business advocacy organization, released itsย 2025-2026 small business legislative voting recordย for Illinois.
Five state senatorsย andย 23 state representativesย scored a 100% pro-small business voting record during the 2025-2026 legislative session.
โInflation, uncertainty, and governmental taxes and mandates have hit many small businesses hard,โย said NFIB Illinois State Director Noah Finley. โMain Street businesses appreciate the efforts of their friends in the Illinois legislature who stand up for them day-in and day-out against the special interests pushing to make it harderโand more expensiveโto run a business in Illinois.โ
The 2025-2026 NFIBโฏVotingโฏRecordโฏdoes not reflect every element considered by lawmakers whenโฏvoting, nor does it represent a complete profile of theย legislators. The voting record includes keyโฏvotes on many issues important to small businesses, but does not factor in their committee votes or other behind-the-scenes legislative support of Main Street businesses.
