Jamar Lewis didn’t show up to the Illinois football 7-on-7 on Wednesday thinking he’d earn a scholarship offer. The Chicago King Class of 2028 running back showed up to compete with his team.
But after working out in front of the Illini coaches, first-year Illinois running back Tyrone Wheatley approached Lewis to give him the good news: another Power Four opportunity.
